Meghan And Her Palace Persecutors

Okay, here goes . . . where angels fear to tread. I had less sympathy for Diana than I should have, but seeing how Meghan was ambushed, I now better understand both women’s desperation. All those who’ve attacked them seem patronizing, misogynistic, condescending, and priggish. Let’s face it, the Palace is either inept, amateurish, arrogant, or tribal—or possibly all four. (And we won’t even raise the question of racist, which is an issue worthy of a separate blog.) Had they been otherwise, they would have created a department to educate new members of the family on protocol, customs, duties, expectations, press practices, and palace procedure. Instead, they’ve abandoned all new arrivals, leaving them to their own devices, either to muddle through or crash and burn. Had they exerted as much effort defending both these women as they applied to protecting Andrew, none of this would have happened. They have no one but themselves to blame.
